HOW I WORK
Requirements are my research
I treat every stakeholder conversation as a research opportunity — product managers, developers and domain experts are all windows into user needs.
Constraints are the brief
Legacy systems, regulations, tight timelines — I treat limitations as design inputs, not obstacles. The best solutions come from working within the box.
Clarity is the goal
Complex banking workflows shouldn't feel complex. I reduce cognitive load — simpler navigation, tighter language, obvious next steps.

"Good design engages you first without making you think"
My design journey started not on screens but in the physical world. After a postgraduation in Product Design from NTTF Bengaluru, I worked as a research assistant at IISc and then as an industrial designer at Geneva, designing medical products — patient monitoring systems and ventilators. High stakes, complex, safety-critical work.
In 2008 I worked on designing the UX for a web TV experience — smart TVs were just emerging and the idea of interactive screen design felt genuinely new. Something a user could respond to in real time. It felt more immediate than anything I'd designed before, and I realized I could get closer to the user in UX than I ever could in industrial design. I made the switch and never looked back.
My first UX role was at Proteans — a startup led by IIT graduates who taught me the craft properly. Proteans was later acquired by Symphony Services, now Harman. That foundation of rigorous, mentor-led UX thinking carried me through 14 years at Oracle Financial Services — designing complex enterprise products for the global banking industry.
