PROCESS

01 · Discover

Stakeholder interviews · SME sessions · Parallels research · Personas

When users aren't accessible, PMs and SMEs become the research. I ask enough questions to understand the workflow, not just the feature request.

02 · Define

As-Is mapping · User matrix · Journey mapping · Shape of data · Success criteria

Full UCD applied on Fleet IQ — the most rigorous discovery I've run, including shape of data and measurable success criteria.

Fleet IQ — full UCD

03 · Design

Early drafts · Design system constraints · Rapid prototyping · Stakeholder alignment

Low-polish but legible flows early. Quick prototypes within Redwood / OJET to make constraints visible and let the team self-resolve conflicts.

04 · Deliver

Wireframe handoff · Component traceability · Dev support · Sprint reviews

Handoff isn't a file drop. Wireframes trace back to the pattern library so developers can identify components directly — reducing interpretation gaps.

DESIGN PHILOSOPHY

Constraints are the brief

Design systems, proxy users, compliance, engineering limits. I don't fight that — I design within it.

Early and rough beats late and polished

I get something in front of stakeholders fast. Not to validate — to find out if I'm pointed in the right direction.

Think before you sketch

I don't have the luxury of user testing at every stage. So I do the thinking upfront — so that when I sketch, I'm not guessing.

HOW I WORK

I've learned to ask more before I draw anything.
